Paris Workshop Ends

Posted in Paris Workshop on May 23, 2008 by michaeltree

Today the Jerry Ghionis workshop ended. I haven’t had much time to post images and that’s because I met more genuine people this week than in a lifetime of walking this earth. No words can explain the emotional effect we had on one another during this week. I have made friends from across the globe and although I could not spend a little time with each person I somehow feel connected to each one.

Above all of this I believe Jerry is an incredibly sincere person willing to go all the way to make you realise your potential. When just about every student sheds a tear including Jerry then you must know the bond created this week.

Some of us may never meet again but true to friendship I believe each one of us will take away a little part of the other.

Take care all and thank you to everybody who contributed to seeing the light.

Paris we arrive!!!!

Mario and I flew into Paris this morning after our energy sapping session in London. The streets of Paris were far too tempting not to photograph so after checking into our hotel we ventured into the streets of this beautiful city. No time for much needed rest, cameras out and doing a little bit of street photography. Even tried my hand at the new Nikon D3….. pretty convincing camera.

The London experience.

Well we managed to pull it off without any problems. The London folks were incredibly helpful and curious about our wedding shoot.
Every shop owner we approached allowed us to photograph our Bride in their shops or side walk cafe.
This was an 8 hour shoot with an e-session in between, well worth it and i would do it again anytime.

I have to mention Kirsty, you were incredible to work with, you made it so easy and I am amazed at your energy levels, without you this session could not have happened. Thank you for for all the admin work and getting permission from the required people.

Another thanks goes to Mario Sales for his insight and skills, it was a pleasure working with him, and Arthur thanks so much for joining and taking care of our equipment.

I will follow up with more images as they come out of the “Digital Computer lab”

Vanessa & Leander

Just 24 hours before leaving for Europe we photographed Vanessa and Leander’s wedding at the Moon and Sixpence. We are running behind on the editing at the moment, three weeks of it, but none the less, here we go.
